The repertoire of songs that I propose during my musical events comes from all the experiences gained over time, starting when I was 15 years old. Each stage has enriched it with memories, emotions, and also with songs requested from time to time by the people present at the show, transforming it into the entertaining and complete event that you can appreciate at this moment.
Every period of life has given me the right inspiration to search, analyze, deepen, study, and finally try to propose the best with the right rhythm and the most appropriate dynamics, a musical style that fascinated me, a certain author, or the most important bands with their "Evergreens" and especially the musical hits of the time.
From the early moments when the guitar occupied much of my day, my first love was for Country Folk music, and for several years my favorite authors were Simon & Garfunkel, Neil Young, Cat Stevens, Beatles, with their guitars sometimes elegant and sometimes raw, but always straight to the heart. It was thanks to the days spent with my paternal uncle Gino (known as Johnny to close friends and relatives) that my repertoire would include the great hits of Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Everly Brothers, where Rock & Roll brought its strength and executive grit both in the pick and on the guitar neck, guitar riffs that would create the history of Rock starting from the musical revolution of 1954. I owe a lot and will always remember with great love the days spent with Uncle Gino, where all his musical passion would magically be transmitted through a tape player installed on the dashboard of his American-style car. After years of stages everywhere and thanks to the great friendship with the percussionist Cisco Portone, the legendary "Guitarman" Carlo Tognoni, and multi-instrumentalist Max Gini, who is no longer with us but whom I always carry in my heart, the elegance of Sting would be added, the energy of Lynard Skynard, Police, "R.H.C.P.," "R.E.M," Green Day, Lenny Kravitz, and many others, definitively adding something Pop, Pop-Rock, Rock sometimes a bit hard, and finally something even "Jazzy" to the musical proposal. After over 40 years of various experiences and the addition over time of Italian songs written by Vasco Rossi, Francesco De Gregori, Ligabue, Edoardo Bennato, Adriano Celentano, and many others, I can now define my musical proposal as complete to create any type of event, situation, and place.
I want to thank for all the songs listed at the end of the page the people who have followed me, still follow me, all the friends to whom I owe a lot for what I now propose during my events, a strong hug to those who wanted me as a musician for a birthday, for a party among friends, evenings in a mountain hut or in front of a breathtaking panorama, or even for unique and unforgettable events like their own wedding, where the party started in the early afternoon and sometimes ended with "warm croissants" at 5 in the morning on some beach or significant place in their life.
It was not easy for me at times to learn a requested song at the last moment among those you will discover shortly, but every time I found myself in the situation of having an important role for someone or something, I always tried to give my best and all of myself, to create the right interpretation and so that it could become emotion, art, and a small irreplaceable piece of my musical soul.
Finally, I thank with a special hug and wish all those volunteer associations that invited me to animate important moments and evenings, the countless and irreplaceable local Proloco, of which I carry unforgettable moments in my heart and friends that I periodically meet around the world, the Swiss "Youth" who grow and change year after year with the passage of life, all structures of various kinds and types around the world, but above all the "music workers," who as guides and true music enthusiasts have motivated, enthused, and accompanied me with esteem to have unique experiences and sometimes almost impossible to describe or tell.
It is therefore from those who periodically ask me what I play or propose during my evenings that this very long updated list of the songs I perform and now love to propose for a long time with a simple guitar and my voice comes from. There are more than 200 songs at the moment, each more beautiful than the other, and I hope they can give you the right idea to understand what I love musically and will always carry with me...
